Factores de riesgo maternos en el bajo peso al nacer
Abstract
Se realizó una investigación epidemiológica observacional analítica retrospectiva de casos y controles para conocer la participación etiológica componente de algunos factores de riesgo sobre el indicador “Bajo Peso al Nacer”, durante los años 1992 y 1993 en la población del Municipio Morón, Provincia Ciego de Ávila.
El índice de Bajo Peso al Nacer en el municipio Morón fue de 9,1% en 1992 y de 6,9% en el año 1993.
Las variables de mayor fuerza de asociación con el Bajo Peso al Nacer fueron: la edad materna de 35 años o más con una razón de disparidad de 2.4 (TC 95%:3-4.7): la ganancia de peso durante el embarazo de menos de 16 libras RD=4.2 (IC 95%=1.9-6.5: la intensidad diaria del hábito de fumar durante el embarazo de 20 cigarrillos o más RD =3.6 (IC 95%=1.9-5.2) el período intergénesico de menos de 1 año RD=3.3 (IC 95%:1.5-5.9) y los antecedentes de nacidos vivos bajo peso con una RD de 2.5 (IC 95%:1.5-4.4Downloads
