Sepsis Abdominal Severa en una unidad de cuidados intensivos
Abstract
Se revisó 29 Historias Clínicas de pacientes ingresados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) del Hospital Provincial de Ciego de Avila, en el período comprendido de Enero 1995 a Junio 1996 con el diagnóstico de Sepsis Intrabdominal. El sexo femenino, el color de la piel blanca, así como los menores de 55 años fueron los casos más frecuentes; el dolor abdominal y la fiebre fueron los hallazgos línicos más frecuentes, la mayor a de los pacientes fueron intervenidos quirúrgicamente dentro de las primeras 24 horas. Hubo una pobre utilización de los cultivos microbiológicos así como de la Laparoscopia como medios diagnósticos. El Metronidazol y los Aminoglucósidos fueron los antimicrobianos más utilizadoss frecuente fue el desequilibrio hidroelectrolítico, así como las alteraciones de laboratorio más encontradas fueron la anemia y la hiperglicemia.
