Morbimortalidad por asma bronquial en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos durante el período Enero 1990-Agosto 1996
Abstract
Se revisaron 102 Historias Clínicas de pacientes ingresados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Provincial Docente "Antonio Luaces Iraola", de Ciego de Avila con el diagnóstico de Asma Bronquial Grave, en el período comprendido desde Enero de 1990 hasta Agosto de 1996. El sexo predominante fue el femenino así como el color de la piel blanca y los mayores de 20 años de edad, el Antecedente Patológico Personal más importante fue el hábito de fumar (59.8 %). Los medicamentos referidos de mayor uso fueron Aminofilina, Salbutamol y Cromoglicato de Sodio. La disnea fue la principal forma de presentación, así como la hipoxemia y la acidosis respiratoria fueron las alteraciones hemogasométricas más significativa.
