Uso de los peloides de “Santa Lucía” en el Acné Polimorfo
Abstract
Los peloides o fangos medicinales se conocen desde tiempos remotos y siguen siendo un recurso natural valioso en nuestra época, a pesar del desarrollo de la industria farmacológica. Como conservan sus propiedades curativas en almacenamiento adecuado, pueden usarse lejos de la fuente natural, lo que permitió diseñar un ensayo clínico fase II controlado, donde se aplicó mascarillas de peloides en la consulta externa de dermatología, a pacientes diagnosticados con Acné Polimorfo y se observó que de un total de 160 pacientes tratados, el 66% mostró una evolución favorable a partir de la segunda semana de tratamiento, en la cuarta semana esa cifra incrementó a un 87% y en la semana catorce el 30% fueron evaluados en la categoría mejor y de alta al 51% de los pacientes, la mayoría de ellos clasificados en los grados I y II de AcnéDownloads
