Conducta imagenológica ante la invaginación intestinal en pacientes menores de 2 años en el Hospital Provincial Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola”

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo con el objetivo de determinar la conducta imagenológica ante la invaginación intestinal en menores de 2 años en el Hospital General Provincial Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” de Ciego de Ávila, en el período de tiempo comprendido desde el 1ro de enero de 2006 al 1ro de enero de 2009. La muestra estuvo constituida por 18 pacientes menores de 2 años, con diagnóstico clínico e imagenológico de invaginación intestinal atendidos en el departamento de Imagenología. Predominó el grupo etáreo menor de 4 meses y el sexo masculino, la presentación topográfica predominante fue íleocólica y la etiología idiopática, el examen ecográfico y radiográfico se realizó al 100 % de los pacientes demostrándose la disminución del patrón gaseoso intestinal como signo predominante en el examen simple, la detención del contraste en “muela de cangrejo”, en el colon por enema y el signo de la “diana” o “pseudo riñón” en la ecografía abdominal, se realizaron 12 reducciones quirúrgicas y 6 reducciones imagenológicas definitivas, 4 por hidrocolon, con una recurrencia y 2 por colon por enema baritado
