Drenaje percutáneo de absceso hepático guiado por ultrasonido abdominal. A propósito de un caso pediátrico
Abstract
En los últimos años, el avance en los métodos de diagnóstico por imágenes (ecografía, tomografía), así como también en la endoscopía y radiología, han mejorado y cambiado el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de las colecciones hepáticas. El absceso hepático puede ser dividido en amebiano y piógeno, entidad de incidencia variable y aparición infrecuente en edades pediátricas, sobre el absceso piógeno se presenta un caso de una paciente de 2 años cuya conducta terapéutica se basó en el drenaje percutáneo guiado por técnica ultrasonográfica y asociación con antibioticoterapia, proceder ya conocido universalmente, pero de reciente realización en algunos centros pediátricos del país.
