Mediciego is an open access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the user or their institution. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or author. The journal's content is freely and universally accessible, at no cost to the reader and without prior registration. The journal does not impose embargo periods. In accordance with this open access policy, Mediciego explicitly adhered to Open Science under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC) license starting with volume 25 of 2019, and therefore modified the copyright scheme.
In volume 31 of 2025, we modified the license to Creative Commons Attribution 4.0/International Deed. This license allows others to distribute, adapt, remix, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they give you credit for the original creation.
Authors are encouraged to share research data that may be of interest to other professionals after publication. The data provided will maintain the confidentiality of the participants and will protect the legal rights of the authors regarding the study.
