Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS)

It is the most important and comprehensive index of scientific and technical literature in Health from Latin America and the Caribbean. For 37 years, this database has contributed to increasing the visibility, access, and quality of information in the region. It is maintained by the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information (BIREME), located in São Paulo, Brazil, and sponsored by PAHO and WHO (Regional Office for the Americas).

An academic information system specialized in academic journals published in Ibero-America. Governed by the General Directorate of Libraries (DGB) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It has four databases: Directory, Catalog, Online Journals, and Portal of Portals; each with a set of requirements.

Collaborative bibliographic portal from the University of La Rioja, Spain, created in 2002 and focused on the fields of Human, Legal, and Social Sciences, although many more journals from Science and Technology (Architecture, Medicine and Nursing, Mathematics and Statistics) have been included. It includes databases, bibliographic alert services, a Hispanic virtual hemeroteca, and a repository not only of scientific articles but also of theses, reviews, books, and book chapters.

Matriz de Información para el Análisis de Revistas (MIAR)

Information Matrix for the Analysis of Journals (MIAR)

Updated annually by the Faculty of Library Science and Documentation of the University of Barcelona, MIAR compiles key information for the identification and analysis of journals. The system creates a correspondence matrix between journals, identified by their ISSN, and the databases and directories that index or include them. It also provides links to the websites of publishers and responsible institutions, when available.

The Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources is a service offered since 2013 by the ISSN International Center, with support from UNESCO’s Communication and Information Sector. It provides free access to a set of ISSN bibliographic records for open access: journals, monographic series, conference proceedings, academic repositories. These records, created by the ISSN Network, are enriched with metadata from indexing databases, directories (DOAJ, Latindex, The Keepers Registry), and journal indicators (Scopus).

The catalog brings together bibliographic records from the 76 university libraries in Spain and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) that are part of this network. It also includes bibliographic records from the National Library of Spain, the National Library of Catalonia, and libraries of the MICIN, among others. It provides access to more than 16 million bibliographic records with their corresponding locations.
