Enfermedad hipertensiva en el embarazo. Nuestra experiencia en Angola

Abstract

Se hizo un estudio de los casos que tenían como diagnóstico Eclampsia y que fueron atendidas en la sala de Reanimación del hospital central de Cabinda, una provincia de la Republica de Angola, en el periodo comprendido entre enero y diciembre del 2001 con el objetivo de conocer su incidencia en la sala así como su comportamiento estadístico- epidemiológico. Se estudiaron 34 pacientes, que representó el 100% de las ingresadas con ese diagnóstico. La Eclampsia representó el 4% entre las patologías atendidas en la sala y el mes que en más cantidad de casos hubo resultó ser el de Julio que es un mes de invierno en esta zona del continente africano. El 52,94 % de las pacientes tenían una edad entre los 20 y 30 años y en la gran mayoría del total de los pacientes (85,29%) fue realizada la cesárea. El Paludismo estuvo asociado a la Eclampsia en el 61,76% y no se reportaron fallecimientos en el total de las pacientes estudiadas.
