Ultrasonography of the shoulded in patients with reumatoid arthritis
Abstract
Twenty four patients were under study diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis, according to criteria of the American Rheumatism association (ARA) of 1987, showing painful shoulded and a mean age 49.08 years (range 27-60 years). The evolution time of the disease was of 1.8 years (range 0.5-5 years). The affected shoulder was examened clinically and utilizing sonography. The most frequent echographic lesions were tenosynovitis of the long head of beieps, thinning or irregularities of the cartilage, lesion of the supras pinatus muscle and subacoomial-deltrid unexpected lesions were found during the clinical examination of such joint. The clinical and sonographic diagnosis were correlated.Downloads
