Centrifugación, esperanza de la calidad del semen
Abstract
La inseminación artificial homóloga está indicada en parejas con alteraciones del recorrido natural del semen hasta el tercio medio de la trompa, o afecciones en la calidad del semen que incluye la hipospermia, siendo necesario potenciar la posibilidad de éxito realizando operaciones preliminares de preparación de este, para ello fueron examinados 60 pacientes y a los mismos se les realizaron los marcadores utilizados para evaluar la calidad del semen en el espermograma "clásico, estándar o tradicional" siendo fundamentalmente los siguientes: conteo total de espermatozoides, movilidad y morfología normal de los espermatozoides; también se evaluaron otras características físicas del semen como su apariencia, volumen de semen eyaculado, viscosidad o consistencia y pH, así como conteo de células, en especial leucocitos. Se concluyó que para preparar el semen y lograr una inseminación artificial exitosa, es necesario optimizar la concentración de espermatozoides móviles y reducir el contenido de plasma seminal en la muestra espermática mediante la operación de centrifugación, realizando la misma durante 20 minutos a 1000 rpm.
