Estratificación del riesgo de morir por cáncer en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila
Abstract
Se realizó una investigación epidemiológica observacional descriptiva para estratificar el riesgo de morir por Cáncer en la provincia Ciego de Ávila según la serie de mortalidad por esta causa del año 1990 al 2008. El universo de estudio estuvo constituido por la totalidad de fallecidos por tumores malignos (11089) de los diez municipios de la Provincia Ciego de Ávila en el período antes referido. Se escogieron tres indicadores de magnitud de carga de mortalidad para ponderar y establecer la estratificación del riesgo de morir por Cáncer: la Razón de Mortalidad Proporcional, el índice de Años de Vida Potencialmente Perdidos y la Razón Estandarizada de Mortalidad. Según los indicadores escogidos para la estratificación del riesgo de morir por Cáncer en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila para los años 1990-2008, resultaron como “Alto Riesgo” de Mortalidad los municipios de Chambas, Morón y Bolivia, “Mediano Riesgo” de muerte los territorios de Ciro Redondo, Florencia y Baraguá y designados como “Bajo Riesgo” los municipios Primero de Enero, Majagua, Ciego de Ávila y Venezuela.Downloads
