Efectos de la tintura de calendula al 10% en adolescentes afectados por gingivitis crónica
Abstract
Se realiza un estudio experimental en 140 alumnos, en edades comprendidas entre 12 y 16 años, de ambos sexos, pertenecientes a la Secundaria Básica "Rubén Martínez Villena" del municipio Ciego de Avila afectados por gingivitis crónica, con el objetivo de conocer los posibles efectos de la tintura de Calándula al 10% en esta enfermedad. Se formaron dos grupos, uno experimental y otro control, el primer grupo recibió colutorios de solución hidroalcohólica de tintura de Calendula al 10% y el segundo grupo un placebo, previo a estas se realizaron controles de placa y tartrectomias. Se evaluaron los resultados a los 15, 30 y 45 días, utilizándose el índice de análisis e higiene de Love y elíndice de Le y Silness para evaluar el estado gingival. Se comprobó al finalizar la investigación una respuesta positiva del fármaco en el grupo experimental, donde llegó a curar el 87,2% de los alumnos afectados
