Operación de pesquisaje de cáncer de mama, en la población urbana del municipio Ciego de Ávila

Abstract

El presente trabajo muestra una operación de pesquizaje masivo, llevada a cabo por los estudiantes de Medicina y Licenciatura en Enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de Ciego de Avila, para apoyar el programa provincial de atención al cáncer de mama. La operación se llevó a cabo en 8 horas de un día no laborable y como resultados fundamentales se presenta la detección de un grupo de patologías de la mama en 226 mujeres, entre ellas 4 cáncer de mama, 2 de ellas antes de hacer metástasis. Además posibilitar el autoexamen de mama a unas 7372 mujeres examinadas.
