Caracterización social y clínica del paciente diabético con edad pediátrica. Informe preliminar
Abstract
Se realizó la investigación en la consulta de Endocrinología Pediátrica del Hospital "Antonio Luaces Iraola" de Ciego de Avila, durante todo el año 1993. Se estudiaron 12 niños diabéticos de los cuales el 58.34 % son masculinos y el 41.62 % son femeninos. El 28 % del examen psíquico de los niños fue normal, el 60% de los familiares tienen conocimiento de la enfermedad, mientras que el 45% de los nños la dominan. Menos de la mitad cumplen tratamiento dietetico, el tratamiento médico se cumple en un 91.6%, se utilizan técnicas adecuadas en el 23.34% de los casos. Lo anterior demuestra que la diabetes mellitus es una patología de acción multidisciplinaria con un enfoque social y donde la educación de pacientes y familiares juegan un papel determinante.Downloads
